Early Morning at the Vatican!

Another early morning at the Vatican! We started our tour in the Vatican Museum, saw the Sistine chapel, and St. Peter’s basilica! The museum was outstanding and sadly we couldn’t stay in there longer because we had to get to St. Peter’s before it got too crazy. This year is a jubilee year, so it’s a lot busier than normal. Our tour was all Americans, and we even saw a Buc-ee’s shirt in the Vatican.

I think the craziest thing about seeing the Vatican in person was understanding how much money and how many artifacts the church has. It was like seeing a Smithsonian owned by a church. Some truly priceless pieces. Such a good visit and we learned a lot!Læs mere
