Crypt of Friars

This was a recommendation from my friend Lindsay and I’m so happy we went because this was one of my favorite things we did!

This was the crypt of all the old friars in Rome. We learned about friars and their history in Rome. They decided as the friars passed they would use the bones for art which is why you see these art pieces! Nearly 3,000 friars were used in the making of the crypt. It’s not like the catacombs where they’re structural, this is only artistic.

This is off the beaten path, but so cool!! Highly recommend to anyone in Rome! It’s in the Trevi area!Read more
