  • Naples Underground

    October 23, 2025 in Italy โ˜๏ธ 17 ยฐC

This was a super cool tour I found on Viator! We originally were going to just tour it ourselves but there was an English tour going right when we were getting there so we went on that! It was super cool and we learned a lot about the underground and the wells and why the water in Naples is so different! It turns out it’s because the Tuff the city was built on.

There was a very small dark and enclosed space that was very rough for me lol. Carlos was having fun making fun of me ๐Ÿ˜‚

This was such a fun place we went back a second time! We stayed for 5 hours our last night in Naples. It was so relaxing and just nice to take it slow at the end of the trip. There was a table of Americans next to us and it turns out they were from Arlington, VA which is Carlos’ hometown!Read more

  • Crypt of Friars

    October 24, 2025 in Italy ๐ŸŒ™ 15 ยฐC

This was a recommendation from my friend Lindsay and I’m so happy we went because this was one of my favorite things we did!

This was the crypt of all the old friars in Rome. We learned about friars and their history in Rome. They decided as the friars passed they would use the bones for art which is why you see these art pieces! Nearly 3,000 friars were used in the making of the crypt. It’s not like the catacombs where they’re structural, this is only artistic.

This is off the beaten path, but so cool!! Highly recommend to anyone in Rome! It’s in the Trevi area!

  • Walk in the Park and a final meal!

    October 24, 2025 in Italy ๐ŸŒ™ 13 ยฐC

We took the day slow to really just enjoy the city! We went to this park and wandered through it (felt very French) and then went to Nerone which is owned by a group of Philippinos and it was our favorite meal in Rome! They were so kind, and brought us free dessert since it was our last night in Rome. They asked us where we were from and we said Austin and they said “Arch Manning” which hurt a bit but that’s okay. He said there was a couple there the night before from Austin as well and one of them was an OU fan and one was a Texas Season Ticket Holder, so I’m assuming Texas is not at home this weekend if they were in Rome ๐Ÿ˜‚.

This was such a wonderful end to a wonderful trip!! It’s definitely something we will remember forever.
