Today we did a bit of shopping! I bought lots of tulip merchandise and we picked up some cheese to bring back to the US! The flower markets we saw were selling lots of bulbs today since you should plant tulip bulbs in the fall. Since we don’t have a house right now we didn’t buy those, but we got lots of other things. The real looking tulips I’m holding are actually fake and will be on the mantel in our new place (when we find it).

We bought some cheese after eating our way through some cheese shops yesterday. We tried almost every cheese available in every store (we hit 7 stores). Czytaj więcej

As you know I flew business class on the way to Amsterdam! As a gift for flying business class, you get to pick a glass house based off real places in Amsterdam. I picked randomly, and it turns out I picked one that is a bar! Carlos and I went for a drink today, and had a fun time seeing “the house I own” in real life. Czytaj więcej

One final stroll

Our last night here Carlos and I wandered around at sunset (which happens at 4:30). It was a nice evening and we got bagels and then jumped to the super market for some cheese and bread for dinner.

We made one final beer stop to celebrate our trip! Things have been very crazy for both of us the last few months, but it’s been worth every moment of stress for the time we have had. Czytaj więcej

Final morning in Amsterdam

We woke up a bit early and got some coffee before taking the train to the airport. We got to see the beautiful sunrise which happened around 8 am. We hadn’t seen one this pretty the entire time we were in Amsterdam.

We then took the train to the airport. It cost around $15 for two of us to get there. I am carrying around 100 pounds of stuff at this point in the trip so it was tiring. We are excited to get back to the US soon! Czytaj więcej

We made it back to the US! I am doing a quick 2 hour layover with Carlos’ family, then jumping a flight to Dallas tonight! The travel isn’t done but we are close!
