Day 2: Lima city center and gastronomic

Landed at 5:15 am only to find that our check in bags did not make it. After filing the necessary paperwork on missing bags, we were transported to the hotel and told the city tour was leaving at 9 am. Managed to have breakfast and join the tour. Lima is an amazing city. After the tour, we went to the mall next door and picked up essentials to tide over next few days as we await bags and had a nice lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The local beer, Piso Sour and Ceviche were outstanding at La Bonbonniere at the Lamarco mall. Dinner was at Punto Azul, a popular local favorite. Excellent food and the fish was very fresh and flavorful. Given early morning departure to fly to Cusco and sleep deprivation from prior overnight flight, we wrapped up soon after dinner.Leggi altro
