TravelerI hope you consider one of your rest days for here. The Cathedral is Awesome, absolutely stunning, and very much different from Burgos. There are some Roman artifacts popping up here and there is Gaudí's Casa Botines Museum, Plaza Santo Domingo, with the La Vieja Negrilla, and San Isidoro Basilica...just to name a few things. Believe it or not, Leon is when whole of a sudden, I got cravings for pizza, so I had me Pizza Romanic at El Topo right on the corner of Cathedral (Pl. de Regla, 9). And don't forget The Parador...unless, of course, you are staying there 😉. Buen Camino

TravelerI wish we were able to stay at the Parador, so stylish! I definitely have felt that pizza craving since arriving and how right you are to point out these two cities are not the same at all. Leon feels BIG! Gelato and getting lost yesterday felt like a total dream come true.
TravelerYeah..you and so many other Pilgrims!. IIRC at the time "The Way" was filmed (2010),the rate was around €350.00. Now go and have that pizza 🍕 😋
