Pena Palace (Palácio da Pena)

The grounds are magnificent although on this occasion I headed straight to the Palace, Having said that you turn corners and are faced with little 'Follies' which are, again, beautifully tiled and one had a small water feature inside which was lovely and cool

Getting to Pena Palace was, without doubt, the worst journey I have ever had, the road is like a corkscrew and, even worse, cobbled!

Thankfully because I arrived early I managed to get parking right next to the Gatehouse, a really lovely chap guided me into a placeLeer más
