Piñeres

When I left the pilgims hostel in the morning, the hospitalero asked me where I was heading today. I replied "As far as my feet will carry me."
He suggested me to do like the other pilgrims to stop in a town in a 20km distance or in the next one. "Piñares has a great albergue but 34km is way too far."
1. I thought 'Thanks for the hint, 34km sounds perfect.'
2. It was actually 35km 🤪

But honestly, again the additional 20km varied between diffent countrysides and views and with a few breaks and again locals, starting conversations with me, it never got boring! On the last couple of kilometers, I met a Spanish couple from Bilbao who gave me some company and couriously asked questions about my pilgrimage 🙂Read more
