Across International Dateline to Oz

You gain a day on the way over and loose one on the way home. C’est la vie! After an 10+ hour flight we arrived in Sydney at 8.45pm. Immigration was smooth and painless and we were soon walking out the doors and across the road to our hotel. Too late to train it home so we are spending the night at the Rydges. A quick wash and we were downstairs for a light dinner.
It was a good flight. We received our vegetarian meals that we had arranged three days prior to our flight, in-flight entertainment was complementary as were blankets and pillows. Hawaiian Airlines have lifted their game in economy which is good. Their changes has restored my faith in the airline. The lack of a vegetarian option on the flight over had been poor so we were happy that they had revised their food policy.Read more
