Tequila, Jalisco

A short day long visit to the town of Tequila on 15th July 2018.

The town where Tequilas originated. We booked the tour through a travel agent and took 1 hour to reach from Guadalajara. After crossing Guadalajara, the land on the either side of the highway was filled with Blue agave fields. We visited two tequila factories for tour - Don Valente and Tres Mujeres. The tour included tequila making process detailing and tasting. At Tres Mujeres we were also able to see Blue agave plants in the adjoining field.

We got to know different steps of tequila production , saw the huge expanses of the Blue Agave plantations on the way as well as up close at Tres Mujeres.

We also visited the famous Jose Cuervo site and saw their store and the property around - skipped the factory.

On our way back, we visited a local souvenir shop and had lunch at La Posta Covina rancheraЧитать далее
