Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico

Our day started very early in morning at 4.30. we left at 6 AM Q.Roo time for Chichen Itza , reached in 2 hours,7.15 AM Yucatan time. Had breakfast at Oxxo as the town was still sleeping and nothing was open at that hour. Went to Chichen itza, we we're amongst the first few people so didn't have to wait much in queue, may by 10 minutes. The weather was also kind and it was a cloudy , windy day so we didn't have to walk around the premises in sun at all. The place opens at 8AM . We booked a guide Luis Rey Dzib Diaz with Akab Dzib being his Mayan surname and our tour started at 8.14 AM. We saw the place till 10.45 AM.

We then headed to Las Coloradas near Ria Lagarta where we have the Pink lake.Read more
