    We checked in quite early in the morning so we planned to take it easy and just chill on our first day of vacation instead of running around to touristy palces. We enjoyed Jacuzzi pool at our hotel (Las Palmas Luxury Villas - the best resort we have stayed at so far!) from morning till late afternoon. The sea view from balcony is great , more so while sipping through wine while in personal pool.
    We went to Barra de Potosi where lake merges into the ocean towards evening , got our dinners packed from one of the beach shacks there and returned to our resort as none of us wanted to enjoy the jacuzzi any lesser.    Read more

    We reached Playa Linda in Ixtapa to take a ferry to Ixtapa island from there. We had initially thought of spending some time at Playa Linda but it was underwhelming and the queue for taking a boat to Ixtapa Island was quite long. We bought tickets and reached the island in about 15-20 minutes by boat. We first went to Playa Coral which as the name suggests is a Coral beach. The beach was quite rocky, difficult to walk around without footwear. The water was also murky so nothing much to see while snorkeling. We then went to Playa Varadero which is much better. The soft light sand and calm waters made it ideal to just play around in water with my little niece who is quite scared of big waves. They have lot of options for water sports as well there, I wasn't interested in them, sis and hub went for some ride though.Read more
