  • The worlds biggest ice cream…

    September 23, 2024 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

It was a big claim…but recommended by the whale cruise captain we ventured off on the last morning of stage 1!

It lived up to its name and it was a lovely morning stop which was just what we needed.
    Merry chose bubblegum (⭐️)
Jeff and Nelly chose Mango (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Noa and I chose the world’s largest ice cream! (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Burnt fig, honeycomb, Ferraro)

And a whiskey distillery which was a delight for Noa!

  • Royal Show!!!

    September 25, 2024 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

What a day at the show :-)

Perhaps a once in a lifetime for our kids but it was lots of fun.
Nelly chose the chairlift, Jeff the Enchanted house (completed with Nell’s) and Merry chose the Dodgem Cars (which she swiftly regretted and I felt mumma guilt for as they were much more vigorous then the ones we have at church sometimes!)
Nanny walked around like a trooper despite the heat, noise and indecisive family members!
We watched a cow judging of the Square Metre category while we ate sandwiches! It was fascinating, but I was shocked to later find out that their breed name is actually a Square MEATER! 🐄 🔪
So fun hanging with Joel and Lisa and cousins! ❤️

  • Jurien Bay Marine Park Headland

    September 27, 2024 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 16 °C

A gorgeous 4 seasons in one day explore of the headland. A small seal played in our bay for about 30mins and we found fortunes and shell doors and a 300degree view!
The wind was tricky but we found a sheltered spot and managed to avoid the downpours and capitalise on the rainbows! It does feel very much like the Lord is so kind to us.
Great day or beach cricket, dune jumping and exploring, sand castle building and family time. Xx

  • The Pinnacles

    September 28, 2024 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

Absolutely remarkable rock formations rising out of the yellow dessert pebble sand south of Jurien Bay. We had fun both walking and driving through this special place.
There were so many different types, small and pointy, long and narrow, bunched together in fields and spread out, solid and pocked like a beehive.Read more

Jeff has been excited about this movie all year since reading the book as a year 5 class! It was a tear jerker about family, nature and technology and the challenges of parenting. Lol!

And might I say…it’s been a long time since we have spent 4 solid weeks in very close proximity to our kids with no school or daycare or friends days!!! It’s been great and memory making and hilarious and exhausting! Ha! I’m a working mum for a reason lol!Read more
