A Ceduna sunset at the beach dinner

We rolled into Ceduna a bit rough, but that fit the demographic just fine. 😂
The foreshore and the playground were just what we needed to stretch the legs and let the kitties roam a bit. They loved it, even the mounds of seaweed didn’t phase them.

A late night arrival, compounded by the Timezone changes made for an exhausted few hours sleep and a Merry who had enjoyed a goodly nap for hours on the way who was ready to chat! 💬 🤣 ❤️ 🙃

We enjoyed 7 chapters of The Magic Faraway Tree to while away the time, and both Noa and I had some startling moments with Roos, a little close for comfort.Читать далее

Mildura for dinner

We had some Indian food for dinner in the park beside the river. It was a vibrant Friday night vibe with people out and enjoying the perfect temperature and golden sunshine.

We enjoyed the dry and not to sweet apple cider we bought from Denmark which was a real treat then, almost lost both cats who bolted when the bottle thumped into the bin. Whoops.

Hay…last night.

We made it to Hay for the final night of the return journey. Here is a list of things discussed in transit today…

• how do u make hay? Is it the stalk of the wheat after it’s been harvested?
• on a scale of 1 to 10 how coping are our kids gonna be on Sunday at home after all this is over?
• advocacy and influence, the Global Citizen not for profit guy speaking on the Inverse Podcast
• do no wildflowers grow in Victoria or is the season over?
• Mildura has a fun and Friday night vibe
• the heritage legislation known as the Burra Charter and whether it had anything to do with Burra SA. We looked eagerly for heritage buildings and it had some great ones
• fauna, fox, bunnies and Roos aplenty after dark
• outback Victoria was pretty sparse and in some ways just like the treeless plain on the Nullabor.

Thanks for the delicious drop of 🍷 Poppy Adam, I thought of you driving through the SA vineyard country. We passed the turn off to the Clare Valley and I’d love to go there sometime!Читать далее

ПутешественникLove it:- the (deep) conversation, that you haven’t needed to get the tent down on ur return journey, the sights u’ve seen - wildlife and wildflowers, that ur nearly home and have been kept safe n sound 🙏 and I’m sure Poppy Adam has a grin from ear to ear that you enjoyed the drop and felt a little ‘tug’ towards the Clare Valley!!

Bathurst Dinner with the car hotheads

We rolled into Bathurst and headed to Mt Panorama so Noa could do a lap before dinner…. but… it’s the Bathurst 1000 this weekend! lol!

So instead we bought fast food and to be honest we fit right in, the kids have crazy hair and are pretty unclean and have been in the same clothes for far too long! Hehehehe.
