Day 1 - Port Macquarie

This morning we left home heading for Port Macquarie, half way to Sydney. After a quick stop at the Ballina Service Centre for lunch it was an easy trip down the motorway to Port Macquarie.

TravelerWe stayed in Port Macquarie when we drove down from Brisbane to stay at yours for a couple of nights before picking up the cruise to Bali. Carol's seems to think we stayed at a place called Waters Edge (I don't know how she remembers that from 6 years ago!!). Though the one thing I do remember was at twilight there were thousands upon thousands of bats doing a fly past.
TravelerWe didn’t see any bats this time but I remember them from past trips. It’s a lovely place to stay, except for the bats.
