Lake Como day 2 Varenna part 1

Woke up to get on the ferry boat from Bellano to Varenna which was a 15 minute boat journey. On what was a scorching hot day. When arriving in the very touristy village of Varenna we took some time to find our bearings and went to the cafe near the train station which had high recommendations. The cafe was ok, but expensive at the time and this was the first clue that Varenna was a tourist trap and the prices were much more expensive than those of Bellano just a few miles north.

Refuelled we wandered through the town and found ourselves at the gardens at the Villa Monestera….which were beautiful. A wander around the gardens took us a good few hours and allowed plenty of time for pictures.Weiterlesen
