• Frameless and The Gunpowder Plot

    May 26, 2024 in England ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

Today we went to an immersive art experience. It had all the classic art works, like The Scream, Starry Night, and The Persistence Of Memory. There were four rooms, which all had a different theme. One had artworks about the world around us, while another was abstract. My favourite room was interactive and was called Colour in Motion. There were screens on the ground and walls, which showed paintings. But every now and then, the artworks turned into dots, which went on to the floor, and when you walked, the dots parted.
We then went back to the hotel room, and Mama and Papa had a sleep.
We went back outside, and went to the underground, which we took to Tower Hill. When we got there we went and did a Interactive escape room like experience about the Gunpowder Plot. "Remember, Remember the fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and a plot. I see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot". The Gunpowder Plot was an attempt to blow up parliament and King James the 1st in 1605 by the Catholics to bring an end to the Church of England . With the help of VR, we escaped from the Tower of London in a zipline with a chair. We then saved a Priest and helped with the plot. We met Guy Fawkes, who was the person who was found about to light the fuse. He was played by Tom Felton, who is the same person who plays Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter. My parents say it was him but he was only in the VR bit where we were taking the gunpowder to parliament by boat, and again when we went through time and saw the different ways the Brits celebrate The 5th of November, but I don't believe them. It was kind of scary, but also a lot of fun.
Tomorrow we go to the Tower of London,
    See you then,
