Hannover

This morning we went to the Landesmuseum museum which was a nice small natural history museum with some interesting works of art and a good aquarium section. On the way we saw the Aegidien Church which is a ruined church that was left standing the war, and has been preserved to commerate those who lost their lives in the war. In 1985 Hiroshima gave the city a peace bell which now hangs in the ruins

After that we went to the Neues (new) Rathaus which opened in 1913 after 12 years construction. Another lovely building and along with the Dome cinema one of the few in Hannover that where not destroyed during the war.

Tomorrow is our last travel day returning to Frankfurt before starting the journey home on Tuesdayもっと詳しく
