Bye buddy.

We had a great dinner tonight in Sudbury and are all fueled up for our first long drive.

Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Scheduled arrival time, 5pm. We will take the long way around NYC via The Tappan Zee Bridge, officially renamed the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge now. Wait, what? Google maps has reminded me of the new name. It will always be the Tappan Zee to me. It’s kind of like trying to change the name of The Boston Garden. Umm, TD what? No.

I keep thinking of the look I got from my pup who stared from the porch as I pulled out. He was so disappointed, “Wait, you forgot me!”

My Chocolate Lab, Myles is my usual travel companion. I know he is wondering right now why I took the van out of storage and didn’t put him inside to go on a Magic Chassis ride. He loves riding in the van.

It just wasn’t going to work out this trip. I’m sorry buddy.
