The wild north island

Leave busy Campbell River behind and head into the forested land in the north. Pass the site where they blew up “ridge rocks” as they were causing many shipwrecks. Biggest non-nuclear explosion of its time. Continue up and over a few climbs on the wide-shouldered island highway. There are numerous logging trucks but not too bad.
