Catch the bus the other way to visit another medieval town - Trojir. It’s a compact, walled city. Although there are alot of people, one can easily find a quiet alleyway. Croatian history is quite interesting as this region has been under the rule of so many others over time. Even up until very recently. Get some beach time in back at Kastela.
