Kyoto temples 1

Eva gave me the gift of a day of temples and shrines whilst the boys explored the railway museum, meeting us for lunch and a couple of final temples. Eva, me and The Boot walked all day amongst gardens, rocks, moss, bamboo, forest, walls of living green, painted screens, wooden floors, Buddhist altars, legends, tatami mats, shoes off and carried in plastic bags, Kano art and Zen schools and beauty, red temples, enormous gateways, bell towers and pagodas, Six temples, three shrines, philosopher's walk and a traditional shopping street, finished off with gourmet sushi.
