Japanese dream

Waking up a little worse for wear in Nagahama, cured by a morning trip to thr onsen and the view of Lake Biwa in the sun. Then a long drive back to Tokyo with a short stop to view Mount Fuji transformed into family shopping at the outlet village. My reward was a thousand faces of Fuji as it emerged into the sunset, magnificent even without snow and even in the absurd context of a shopping centre..then on to Narita, on the outskirts of Tokyo and convenient for the airport, Rico driving like a pro through the 3D video game of Tokyo traffic - tunnels for 15 minutes under the city complete with roundabouts, undersea tunnels and elevated expressways and multiple layers of roads.and graphics and signs and the lights and towers..Leggi altro
