2nd Day 6/14/24 - Big Bad Terrible Day - I had a cyst burst on the back of my left leg and spent all day in 2 hospitals.
3rd day 6/15/24 - I was wheeled around in a wheelchair to the Latin Quarter and to a perky performance at the Moulin Rouge!Read more

Going from the hotel to the boat!

4th day - 6/26/24 - I was able to gingerly walk for the first time! We took a Viking van to the Riverboat and spent the afternoon getting used to our new surroundings!
Traveler A wheelchair was awaiting in my room, but luckily I did not need to use it!

Panoramic Paris Bus Tour

Day 5 - 6/17/24 This morning we took a bus tour of Paris, stopped at a 56 story building to view Paris, and did an excursion to the Latin Quarter and Notre Dame.
Traveler A scaled down model of the Statue of Liberty, that France gave us. It sits on an island on the Seine River and faces our Statue of Liberty in the U. S.!

An Afternoon of shopping and sightseeing

Day 5 (Part 2) 6/17/25 Monday afternoon - We finished up our morning excursion near Notre Dame. Then we decided to shop and sightsee near our Riverboat, the Fjorgyn Viking Riverboat.
Traveler I got really lucky in noticing the rose trellis that could frame Notre Dame. It turned out to be a wonderful photo! I would have taken more, but they wanted me to catch up with the group.

LaRoche-Guyon Chateau Life!

Day 6, Part 1, 6/18/24 Morning Excursion to LaRoche-Guyon Chateau. We spent the morning exploring the Chateau, which was used by German General Rommel as his HQ from about March - July 1944. The US Monument Men also had a presence here. We also learned how to set a table depending on the era. Martha twisted her ankle on uneven steps.Read more

Rouen - Joan of Arc burned at stake

Day 7, 6/19/24, Part 1, Excursion to Rouen, where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake, where Monet painted the Rouen Cathedral at least 28 times, and where there is a great Impressionist Museum.
