Dam and Cornicopia

Leisurely morning. Left around 11:30 and found the tunnels to Oxbow dam. Then drove to Brownlee dam and saw 4 deer along the way. We viewed the dam from a variety of viewpoints. We were certain security was watching us. We saw big fish (our guess they were either carp or sturgeon). We had lunch at McCormick park which is just down from Brownlee dam. Then headed to Cornicopia. It’s a Lodge about 12 miles north of Halfway. Nice Lodge with cabins in the woods. Drove by a gold mining operations called Bonanza mining. We walked around a few old broken down buildings that were the remnants of a town. It was cool to see what was left over. Then headed back and pick apples from side of the road. Farmer laughed and said they were 10 cents each. Dinner was rice mixture with onions and broccoli. JB made a fire from all the wood he stole from other fire pits. Czytaj więcej
