    Dubrovnik to Hvar

    Today was a travel day a little because we woke up and walked around Old Town in Dubrovnik for a little bit before we had to take a 3hr ferry to Hvar which is another island in Croatia. Then we got to Hvar and walked up to the hostel where we had dinner before going to Kiva Bar with some other people from the hostel.LĂ€s mer

    Full day in Split

    Yesterday we woke up and did a boat tour of the blue lagoon which was very fun! We went to a beach for lunch and then the boat took us to the Blue Lagoon to swim around and then we went snorkeling over a ship wreck. Then we chilled for a bit and did my Spanish assignment. We then met up with some of the people we met on the boat for dinner and drinks.LĂ€s mer

    Waterfall day!

    Today we woke up early to go on a small tour with our hostel to the Krka National Park to see the amazing waterfalls. Then we went to the town of Primošten for cliff jumping and lunch. Finally we went to the top of the mountain to the viewpoint of the town. We went back to the hostel and hung out with some of the people we met there.LĂ€s mer

    Last day in Split

    We spent the morning walking around the town where we got breakfast and saw the main square and tower. Then we went to the beach for the rest of the day with the people from our hostel before leaving for the airport at 7pm to fly to Marseille, France for the night. We got in super late so just crashed for the night.LĂ€s mer

    Day in Marseille

    We woke up and had about 4 hours to explore Marseille before we had to take a bus to Nice so we walked around the main part of town by the old port and stopped by some shops and a church before having brunch. Then we went up to the Norte Dame church on top of the mountain which was a great viewpoint and amazing to go into. After that we walked back down and through Old Town which was a very quiet, local street with some shops and restaurants. Then we headed back to the hostel to get our bag and go to the bus station. The bus ride was about 2 ½ hours so we got there with a little time to walk around the area before dark and have some amazing lasagna for dinner.LĂ€s mer

    Full day in Nice

    We woke up and walked around the Old Town of Nice and along the water for a little bit just exploring. Then we relaxed at the beach and read for a while before heading back to do some spanish homework (last day!!). Then we went out to dinner to an italian place with a girl we met in our hostel room and walked around for a little bit, exploring the live music.LĂ€s mer

    Another day exploring Nice

    Today we woke up and did the walking tour with our hostel that took us through Old Town and some of the churches and areas we didn’t see yesterday. The guide told us a lot about the history and wars that happened here, then he took us up to the castle that doesn’t have an actual castle up there anymore ha. But it was a fun and informational tour. Then we walked around and got some lunch before heading back to the hostel because it was a little rainy. We decided it was a good day to go see the Top Gun movie which was amazing! Then we had some dinner and went back for an early night.LĂ€s mer

    Day trip to Monaco

    For our last full day in Nice we did a day trip to Monaco! Took about 35 minutes by bus to get there and it was raining for a while hah but we got to walk around, see the famous casino, and the hotel from the Monte Carlo movie. Then we had lunch and waited out the rain and it cleared up a little so we went to the beach for a little bit before heading back to Nice and having dinner with our friend Kat from the hostel and headed in early for an early morning flight the next day.LĂ€s mer

    Got to Geneva-little rainy

    Today we got up early for our flight from Nice to Geneva, Switzerland! After a short flight, we took the bus to our hostel to drop out stuff off before walking around the town and exploring the side streets and river that runs through town. We stopped in a Thai place for lunch to get out of the rain and then went to see the new Jurassic World because it was still raining. After the movie, we walked to the bookstore to get a new one and then ended up at a music festival that was free and happening in the Old Town. Live music of all kinds and so many people buzzing about as people got food and listened to the music. Then we headed back to the hostel for the night.LĂ€s mer

    Day trip to Chamonix

    Today we woke up early to catch an hour and a half bus to Chamonix in the French Alps. We got there and were planning on going for a hike up the mountain but saw that people were paragliding and so we asked around about that and the only time they had was 2pm so it wasn’t enough time to do a hike but we walked around the town, went into a farmers market, had cheese fondue and then went to the gondola to meet up with our guide. We took the gondola up and the guys got our stuff ready on the side of the mountain in a grassy area, he hooked me in and asked if I was ready. Then we said start walking and then start running and we were off! It was so peaceful and easy, we were up there for about 20-30 minutes, he left me steer a bit and then he did some tricks and turns! Then we went to a beer garden to chill for a bit before our bus back. We got back to the hostel to chill before meeting Allison Rice at the music festival that was going on outside around town which was so fun!LĂ€s mer

    Last day in Geneva

    Today we woke up and checked out of our hostel and went to a brunch place for amazing avocado toast! Then we walked to this smaller area in Geneva called Carouge but when we got there, because it was Sunday, the shops were all closed so there wasn’t as much for us to do. So we walked back to the main part of town and we got our books and hung out in a park until we decided to go see the new Elvis movie before our train that night. the movie was amazing and then we stopped on the way home for dinner at a burger place because it was the only thing open on Sunday ha! Then we went back to the hostel to get our bags before going to the bus station for our overnight train. It honestly was as bad because we each got our own row to spread out/ lay down in which was nice.LĂ€s mer

    First day in Munich!

    Today we started the day early because our overnight bus dropped us off at the bus station at 8:30am so we had the whole day to explore. We first dropped our bags at the hostel and then got a recommendation of where to find a free tour so we went to the main part of old down and joined a free tour walking tour for about 2 ½ hours. It was very informative and interesting as our guide talked about the history of churches, beer brewing and how everyone is only allowed to use the same 5 ingredients, and also some history about WWII. We finished the tour and walked up a church tower to get a overview of the old town which was amazing! Then we walked back to the hostel to check in and get settled. We changed and went to a tradition Bavarian place for dinner where we had pork roast with these potato/ rice things and then we had Käsespätzle which is basically just cheesy pasta. We also had to try another famous beer. Then we came back to the hostel and hung out with a group of people in the common area for a while which was fun!LĂ€s mer

    Munich- day 2

    Today was our second full day in Munich and we got up and went to a nearby bakery for breakfast. Then we wanted to go to the English park to walk around so we took some of the lime/ bird scooters over there and then walked around for a bit until we found the surfers in the river which was amazing to watch! We then walked to the technology museum which was pretty cool but all in German so hard to understand a lot. On our way back to the hostel we stopped at the famous Hofbräuhaus beer garden/ hall. Then we chilled at the hostel for a bit until meeting some of the other people in the hostel downstairs to hang out.LĂ€s mer

    Dachau and art gallery

    Today we woke up and did a group tour of the Dachau concentration camp which we learned was the first one there was. The tour was very informational and sad but important to see. The guide was very knowledgeable and offered a lot of information as he’d been doing it everyday for 10 years. The whole tour took most of the day but we spent the rest of the afternoon at the Alte Pinakothek art gallery where there were some Van Goghs and Monets. Then we met up with some of the people from the hostel for the night.LĂ€s mer

    Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castls

    We woke up and got some food on the way to the train station where we rode for 2 hours out to the castles which are close to the Austria border. The Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for Cinderellas castle which was really cool to see! We walked around there for a bit and then walked to the Hohenschwangau castle which was Ludwig II
    ‘s summer home. We did an inside audio tour of that and walked around to the lake and had lunch. Then we took the train back to the hostel because it started down pouring and then took an overnight bus to Berlin.    LĂ€s mer

    First day in Berlin!

    It was an early start to the day as the overnight bus from Munich got in at 7:45 am to the city outskirts of Berlin and so we got a train to our hostel and put our bags down before doing a free walking tour of the main parts of the city. We started at the Bradenburg gate and walked from West to East Berlin. We stopped at the Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe which was made to be up to anyone interpretation which was interesting. Then we walked to the parking lot that is overtop Hitlers Bunker where he killed himself as the war was coming to an end. We also walked to a memorial of the Berlin wall and checkpoint charlie where the gate to the other side used to be. The walking tour ended there but then we went to Museum island where we saw the Berlin Cathedral and the Pergamon Museum and met up with some people from the hostel after.LĂ€s mer

    2nd day in Berlin

    Today we woke up and got brunch with our new friend Jamin from Australia! Then we took Lime scooters to the East side gallery which is the berlin wall painted. Then we went to the Jewish Museum which had Holocaust memorials but also just general information about the Jewish culture. Then we just went back to the hostel to get dinner and hang out.LĂ€s mer

    Mauer Park

    Today we woke up a little late and had brunch with Jamin again and then went to Mauer Park where there was some thrift stores, food stands, and art ones too! Then we stopped by at this place where these dancers were performing. Next we went to the english park and hung out there for a little bit. Walked around the gardens, read my book, and took a nap. Then we went back to the hostel to chill and get out of the heat before meeting up with Jamin for dinner and ice cream.LĂ€s mer

    To Dublin we go!

    Today we had a late start to sleep in and then we walked to the Berlin Wall Memorial and also to a bookstore. We went back to the hostel to chill for a bit and do spanish he/ read our book before heading to the airport to go to Dublin!     First day exploring Galway

    Today we got to Galway around 11:45am so we dropped our bags off at our hostel before walking around the main streets and going along the water for a walk. Then we went to a classic Irish lunch stop before going back to the hostel to check in. After, we walked to Galway Cathedral and the Spanish Arch. We went to an outside beer garden for a quick drink and then for a quick dinner before having an early night in.LĂ€s mer
