    Katherine Gorge

    Katherine Gorge is a deep gorge in Nitmiluk National Park carved through ancient sandstone by the Katherine River. It is made up of thirteen gorges, with rapids and falls. We woke up early for sunrise and hiked 12km return to the second gorge, called Butterfly Gorge, which takes you through a monsoon forest full of butterflies to a section of the Katherine River.Read more
