Chester & Mikey,Trusted Housesitter pets

We arrived to our house/pet sit here in San Diego. Chester and Mikey are the hosts dogs. We got settled, had breakfast and played fetch with Chester then took him for a walk. He has tons of energy, but trots along nicely, but we discovered just how much he reacts to bikers and/or motorized scooters. We have to hang onto him so hard because he lunges and barks. If we saw one coming, we would distract him and it seemed to work. We had a nice walk through the streets around with the landmark heritage homes. We got Chester home then took Mikey out for his walk. We went to find the markets and local restaurants and found some more book nooks ( we have come across at least 5 on our walks so far)and some very positive gems and signs in the surrounding neighborhood. I had a very nice conversation with a lady at a book nook and she recommended some books. She too was a teacher🥰 The local grocery gave Anthony a treat for Mikey. Mikey is such a calm dog compared to Chester. He likes to leave his mark and pees everywhere! The temperature, 20-25 C, has been very pleasant☀️Les mer
