The drive from the Moskenes ferry to the picturesque fishing village Reine offers beautiful vistas of the Lofoten.
En route you can also see the skrei which dries on outdoors racks for months. The gentle and salty coastal air has just the right amounts of sun, rain, snow and wind, which is perfect for the fermentation process. Lofoten stockfish is a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) in Europe.
We spend the night at Kabelvåg Feriehus & Camping, located just west of the small town, Kabelvåg.
