Assisi wanderings

I was awake anyway so I got up with the sun and walked up (and up!) to the hilltop above to Rocca Maggiore, the 14th century fortress watching over Assisi and the valley below. Stunning views, as you’ll see.

I had rehearsals off and on all day, ranging from the Beethoven wind quintet to a quartet by an Italian composer who is here at the festival. It’s a joy to combine playing with exploration of new places!Leia mais
