After our spiritual journey at Sri Maha Bodhi, we set out to explore more of Anuradhapura's awe-inspiring historical sites. Our first stop was the remarkable Lowamahapaya, a sprawling complex that once housed a thousand monks in its grandeur. As we approached, the sheer scale of the edifice left us in awe. The massive pillars and intricate design were a testament to the architectural prowess of ancient Sri Lanka.

Inside, the remains of stone columns stood tall, like sentinels of a bygone era. The sense of space within Lowamahapaya was staggering, and we marveled at the thought of the bustling community that once inhabited this majestic structure.
