    The Olympic peninsula in Washington state contains one of the few temperate Rainforests in the world ( most of them are tropical like the Amazon). The symbiosis of decay and new life creates a magical tapestry for exploration. We decide to take our backpacking gear out for a spin in the Hoh rainforest. Following the mighty Hoh river , a section of the trail was washed away by a new river arm, that had just formed, and we have to bushwhack through the dense forest (no easy task with the backpacks) . But eventually we reach the base camp for Mount Olympus and spent a peaceful night in our tent.
