Breakfast after a delayed flight

We safely landed in Samoa and we're instantly hit with the heat. But not before we were almost hit with duty free alcohol flying out of the overhead storage and smashing on the floor.....

Taumeasina Island Resort

We were greeted with ulas (flower necklaces), mint towels and a welcome drink and shown to our room.
Very fancy for us! We quickly got changed, had something to eat and drink and went for a swim.

Dinner at Taumeasina Restaurant and Bar

After a short and sharp trivia night at the resort which we definitely did not win, we walked down the road slightly to a very low key little restaurant.

Ed the scooter🛵

We caught a taxi to the only place on the island that hires scooters. Luckily there was 1 left!
We jumped on our trust steed Ed (named after Eds Sheeran cause it's ginger) and hit the road 🛵
Waterfall

First stop Sauniatu Waterfall... a beautiful swimming spot that we had all to ourselves. So peaceful and deliciously warm
Piula Cave Pool

Next stop another swim. We got slightly lost by shooting past the entrance but made it in the end. It's on the grounds of a Theology School and sits directly under the church. A nice fresh water dip.Läs mer

We started making our way south and through the mountains. Such a beautiful part of the world!
To Sua Ocean Trench

This was a must see on every recommendation about Samoa. A very cool place to swim and explore. Worth the climb down for sure! And we were finally able to buy sunscreen... Every other place we triedLäs mer

Another swim in a stunning location. Can't get enough of the stunning swimming spots here.

We finally made it back to our Fale and got some needed coffee and burgers and a break for our numb bums! We enjoyed the burgers (bob juniors - fish) by the beach before having a much needed rest
