Arrival in Bangkok

Arrived in Bangkok ready to start this journey. Had to look for a lady holding my name card, took my 15mins longer than it should have. Met up with a South African Brandon, who was doing the same course I was. Chatted whilst in the car ride to the Forum Park hotel. At the hotel I found out I was rooming with another man on a double bed. Met him and decided to rent another room. Got ready for the next day.Read more

Travel to Hua Hin

Woke up, packed and brought bags down to hotel lobby. Went and had a small breakfast at the hotel. Decided mid meal to go out for some street food breakfast. Had some spicy pork noodle soup, was amazing! Came back, loaded my bags onto the bus and boarded the bus. Sat in behind an Australian Garry. Got talking about Pokemon Go. Bus starts to fill up and a South African Gerard sits next to me. Talked about everything under sun, sort of had to as the ride was 2hrs long. Mid bus ride had to desperately take a leak. Arrived in Hia Hin

Bus finally arrives at our destination. Everyone on the bus departs and finds their bags. The group is split up into the main study group, practical group and people who got their own place. I was in the main group. Got given room numbers and room mates, mine was a South African Dave. Cool dude. Room was on the third floor, no elevators. Had to carry my heavy luggage upstairs. Sucked balls! Afterwards we we're told to come back down so we could go to a mall.Read more

Tour around Market Village

All the three groups re boarded the bus and headed to Market village. Once we all disembarked we gathered at the front of the mall and started the tour. Chatted with American Matt and Leah. The mall wasn't anything special, just a regular mall. The tour was so we could get acquainted with the area. The group broke for lunch and a self tour. Walkie talkied with an American Sam. Arrived at the food court. Met up with British Hannah. Had lunch. Went shopping for stuffy stuff. Regrouped and reboarded the bus. Got back to Ban San Pleum.Read more

1st day orientation

Morning routine: wake up, undress, poo, shower, dry, dress, brush teeth.

Got ready to see Xplore Asia's Hua Him hq. Was literally around the bend from the the BSP (Ban saan Pleum). The whole group met all the staff and three doggos. Also got informed of the plan for orientation. Sounded fun and exciting. Still talked to American Sam. Got given reading material. Started at 8.30 finished at 3pm. Had dinner at an overpriced seafood place. Went back to BSP, pooed, wiped, changed, slept. No aircon, nasty business in humid weather.Read more

2nd day orientation

Morning routine. Headed to XAHQ (Xplore asia hq). Started Thai lessons, culture talks and other stuffs. Finished at 3. Found out where Sleven. Had street pad Thai for dinner, which just so happened to be outside sleven. Yummy yummy yummy. Night routine.Read more
