    After driving from Calais, France to Hoogstraten in Belgium to stay with family we carried on South through Germany and visited the Burg Eltz Castle for sunset. Also staying here for the night too!

    Went to the Lichtenstein castle in the morning and then drove south to visit the Neuschwanstein castle for sunset. Also had the fun job of finding a motorhome service station enroute to fill up with fresh water and empty our grey water tank and toilet ( tristan will not do this… it’s unfortunately Helens job as he is doing all of the driving!).Læs mere

    Into austria for cheaper fuel

    After doing some work in the morning we drove across the border into Austria to fill up with fuel there as was a lot cheaper than in Germany! Then stopped off at Plansee lake, of which at one end was completely frozen! Then drove back into Germany to a small village to park up for the night.Læs mere

    Waking up to snow!!!

    After a few chilled days just doing some local exploring around Hallstatt area and doing our work, we unexpectedly woke up to a lot of snow this morning! As we were parked up in the hills we decided to drive down to stay somewhere lower down where it was less snowy and not quite so cold. Found a nice free park up for the night where Tristan met his new best friend - Charlie the local dog 🐶Læs mere

    Traunsee and driving into Tyrol region

    Spent the morning near Traunsee lake to do some work. Then went to get LPG and water, and picked up a parcel for Tristan from the UK (took nearly a week to arrive!). We had some lunch by Hallstatt lake outside in the sunshine, and then drove south-west into the Tyrol region.

    Still lots of fresh snow on the mountains!    Læs mere

    Into Italy 🇮🇹🍕👌🏼

    We decided to venture into northern Italy, driving through the Felbertauerntunnel in the Austrian Mountains where there was lots of deep snow, huge icicles, and frozen waterfalls!

    Passed the Italian border at about midday and stopped for some pizza for lunch. And then continued onto Pragser Wildsee. The lake was completely frozen and lots of snow there too. We did the circular walking route all the way around the lake and had lots of fun in the snow too! Watched the sunset and took some photos, and then went back to the van for a cup of tea whilst we watched the sun finishing setting on the mountains.Læs mere
