After our exciting day of scaling Nordkette mountain, we hopped in the car and drove 1.5 hours to Piding. Fun fact: Piding is just 5km from the Austrian border. So, even though this is the Austrian portion of our trip, we are staying in Germany to see Salzburg. Get out your maps and it will make sense!
Our hotel, named "Hey Lou!" in Piding is decorated all in cow and forest themes. A life-size cow statue greets you as you enter. There are cow-hide cubes scattered throughout the hotel and our trash can is a milking pail. It's so cute!
When we arrived here Tuesday night, we were exhausted. We are both suffering from sore throats, and Brian has a head cold. We broke one of our self-imposed international travel rules, which is to never eat at a fast food American restaurant while overseas.
