Mondsee

On Thursday, we began our day by driving about 30 minutes north and east of Salzburg to Lake Mondsee. This is a resort area with several lakes at the base of the Alps. We had weather that was warm enough that we did not need our winter coats! We spent a wonderful morning just walking around this beautiful lake.
There is a large church that chimes its bells quite often. Was it on the hour and half-hour? No. It was at 10:07, then at 10:39. Hmmmm. I'm not sure how they use it to tell time, but it certainly is loud and can be heard all over town.
By 1pm, we hopped in the car to head to Mattighofen... the home of KTM motorcycles. We did not drive the Autobahn to get there. It was driving that was the closest to our Italian driving experiences as we've had. Brian loved it!Baca lagi
