This town was the home and marketplace of the richest wool merchants. The High Street (main street) is one of the prettiest in the Cotswolds. The old Market is dated 1627.

This old market hall used to be where local traders sold cheese and other goods. It is still used occasionally by vendors, but it's too small to house the monthly Farmers Markets now.
