Beverley's Marvelous Minster

The twin towers contain 10 bells that chime the quarter hours and the 7 ton "Big John" that strikes the hour. The minster has a very active bell ringing group.

The interior is one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in England. All the stone came from the same quarry, which is still used today for the restoration work, making it look seamless despite taking 200 years to build.

The interior was used in filming part of the TV series, "Victoria" including her coronation and wedding.Read more
