Wakefield's Thornes-Clarence Park

We're staying in a hotel in Wakefield for two days between housesits. The room is small but clean. There is a really good breakfast included, and a nice big park nearby for walks to the gardens.

At the top of the steep hill there used to be a castle, with a long view below for defense. Now nothing is left of the castle except the hill. At the bottom is a stage for bands, and the slope of the hill makes it nice for viewers.Read more
