The Great Hall and Chapel Royal

The Great Hall was used for banquets. During military use floors were added to make a barracks. It has been restored, including the carved wood ceiling, and is now available for events such as weddings.

The Great Kitchens that served the Great Hall have been reconstructed to show what it would have looked and sounded like while meals were prepared.

Chapel Royal has some beautiful murals. This is where Mary, Queen of Scots son, James the VI was crowned at the age of 13 months.Read more
