    We took a day trip around the national park. In between the raindrops, we saw some very pretty views. The northern part of the park is quite rugged. We drove along several lochs, and picnicked on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond! It is 22.6 miles long by up to 5 miles wide, and is the largest lake in the United Kingdom by surface area. (Loch Ness has more volume though.) Loch Lomond's southern end is dotted by 30 or more islands. Fishing, boating, and other water sports are very popular here.Read more
