Flores

After the hike, I booked an overnight bus from Guatemala City to Flores. I got the ticket in a tourist office in Antigua and they organized a shuttle to the bus stop in Guatemala City. We left punctual, the bus was pretty comfy and were supposed to arrive around 6am. I planed on visiting the ruins in Tikal during the day. Unfortunately, we stopped around 3am because the road was blocked due to an accident. Arrived with an 8h delay, spend over 18h in the bus and had to skip Tikal...

Nach der Wanderung hab ich mir in Antigua ein Ticket für den Nachtbus von Guatemala-Stadt nach Flores geholt. Das Touristenbüro hat mir gleich noch einen Shuttle zum Busbahnhof nach Guatemala organisiert. Der Bus war echt bequem, und eigentlich sollten wir gegen 6 Uhr morgens in Flores ankommen. Mein Plan: die Ruinen von Tikal tagsüber anschauen. Aber daraus wurde leider nix. Gegen 3 Uhr nachts standen wir plötzlich still – Straße blockiert wegen eines Unfalls.
