Boiled peanuts

We waited a week to try boiled peanuts. Probably could have waited a few years more! There actually were a few of our group that liked them. I think when it comes to boiled peanuts you either love them or hate them. I tried them a few years ago and hated them. Thought I would give them a second try. Nope, still hate them. I just wish my phone had not been dead at the time. I missed the priceless look on Christina's face when she tried one. I'll just say she did not love them. So, the conversation went like this. Lindsey, who liked them, and actually ate several, decided it was like eating beans. Christina quickly pointed out that peanuts are legumes just like beans. So she wondered why no one has ever smashed up peanuts to make refried peanuts like beans. I responded, they have - it's called peanut butter!
