Looe to Portwrinkle (Crafthole)

We enjoyed our time in Looe; the best hotel we’ve stayed in yet.

A relatively comfortable 16 km, with reasonable ups and downs. As usual, beautiful scenery and quaint villages; from open moors to English woodlands. Cloudy but no rain.

Asked a man who was fixing his car for some WD40 to fix my stuck walking pole - “I’ll have a look in the top shed.” Came back and now I can shorten the pole to fit in my suitcase.

Destination is marked as Portwrinkle but the accommodation is actually in Crafthaven, a further 2 km on. There are no shops in either village but fortunately Liscawn provides meals for residents.

The Liscawn has beautiful surroundings and our room is quite comfortable. We are becoming adept at using all manner of showers!Read more
