Short Sand Beach trail

Further south, we stopped at the Short Sand Beach state park, with a half-mile walk through some amazing forest scenery along the Short Sand Creek. We enjoyed the huge trunks and stumps, the greenery everywhere, the mossy branches that looked like hands (or spiders), all on the way to the anticipated beach.
