Day 14: Stopover in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is probably one of the cruise ports about which the most has been discussed recently. Today, I've taken the bus from Split to Dubrovnik and before I will continue my trip today to Kotor, I had a couple of hours to visit Dubrovnik on my own. 3 ships have been in the port and the city already felt very overcrowded. The locals take advantage of the tourism and the prices are incredibly high. For example the ticket for the visit of the city wall costs 35 EUR per person!

Very frankly, I believe the city definitely lost its charm due to the tourism, unfortunately. I'm grateful for the impressions gained today but happy also to continue my journey without staying longer.Read more
