Day 21: Istanbul

Today, I took a flight from Skopje to Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen International Airport). I admit, I haven't been that well prepared as I'm used to be, when I arrive in a new city. The airport is located on the asian side of Istanbul, therefore it's quite a distance to arrive at the European side. Nevertheless, I found a bus which brought me for 3 EUR to the city center, from where I could take the metro. Everything went unexpected smoothly and so I arrived before sunset in the hotel.

So I decided to go straight out again and explore the neighborhood. It ended in a walk of 2.5 hours, passing by the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and I even caught a view on the Bosporus bridge. What an incredible city!Leia mais
