Border Crossing to Zambia

What a long day of driving! We got out from our tents by 5:30 am to start with the drive in the direction of the border as early as possible. The closer we got to the Chirundu Border Checkpoint, the worse the street got. Nevertheless, we arrived just after lunchtime at the border and all formalities were done as well surprisingly quickly. We had crossed the Zambezi river and had the passports stamped, what means that we entered now Zambia. The drive to the campsite close to the capital Lusaka took another couple of hours, so that we arrived there just before sunset.Read more
