Kualur Lumpur

We spent 4 nights in KL for the wedding (which was fantastic!) and then on to India!
Delhi

Our first stop in India was Delhi. In retrospect it was probably a mistake to spend more than a night or two there, but it was an experience, no doubt.
The traffic is just overwhelming, and we wereRead more
Delhi to Agra

A long drive along a new (pretty well deserted) motorway had us flashing past lots of farmland, and hundreds of "universities" which specialised in pretty much everything, it seemed.

The Agra Fort was really spectacular, and boasts a really interesting history.
Agra to Delhi

Back to Delhi the long way, through hundreds of little villages - much more interesting. The roads leave quite a bit to be desired in places - speedhumps on motorways??

Abu Dhabi

Our first day in Abu Dhabi we took a guided tour.. Abu Dhabi is really nice, as was everybody we met. Some of the buildings are simply gob-smacking.
Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi

The highly anticipated trip to Ferrari World was a bit of a let down. There was comparatively very little about the heritage and history of the marque (I am a big fan!), it felt to me that it was allRead more
Yas Marina Circuit

We wandered into the Yas Marina Circuit a couple of times, and got to see some open wheeler racing one evening.
Sheik Zayfed Mosque

Leaving Abu Dhabi, we were driven back to Dubai, but on the way we stopped at the stunning, amazing Sheik Zayfed Mosque. Dani had to dress in a Burka before being allowed to enter :)
Dubai

What can you say about Dubai? We spoke with a British Ex-pat who described it as "Disneyland on steroids". From humble beginnings, vast injections of oil money have turned Dubai into a tourist andRead more
